What is Ibeem?
Ibeem is a management solution developed by Acecomp to empower business users with the ability to create and manage their entire web infrastructure without relying on an organization's limited IT resources. The site's layout and design, however, continues to be managed by IT and/or Webmasters to ensure their integrity and consistency.

How does Ibeem work?
Ibeem is a collection of modules each doing a specific task to run a complex web presence. A web-based rich-text editor is used for maintaining, updating, or creating content. The E-commerce module is used for maintaining, updating, or adding products. Ibeem manages your digital assets and uses a database to store all content and site setting. We have also developed several industry specific modules and we'll be happy to provide you with a quote on your specific requirements.

How is Ibeem different from other applications?
Ibeem has some distinct advantages that make it attractive for a wide range of uses. To begin with, Ibeem Management Systems are completely platform-independent, with fairly modest system requirements. However, we have not sacrificed any degree of functionality in exchange! We are able to offer a sophisticated application that is accessible to anyone with a browser and an internet connection.

Is there any special software required to use Ibeem?
No, with Ibeem you avoid the additional time and costly process of installing software on each system that uses the application. Our complete family of IBEEM applications can be hosted (see hosting plans) on our infrastructure. This means that you can gain access through a standard Internet connection, anywhere in the world based on self-assigned security levels.

Is it complex to use?
No. The knowledge level of an entry-level employee is sufficient for this system. Ibeem was developed with the end user in mind, including time saving easy to use tools to publish your content or products without requiring knowledge of complex programming languages. Ibeem provides and enforces a standardized appearance to the web site that remains consistent from one section to another. End users are much less likely to do something that would destroy a web page, as they are limited as to what can be changed with Ibeem. Ibeem premium edition can also be configured to allow users more options as required by a specific user role.

How much will it cost?
The answer depends entirely on your requirements. For many smaller organizations, Ibeem standard edition is an excellent starting point and customers that require additional modules and functionally may look at our enhanced or premium editions.

Does Ibeem have ongoing costs for the system?
We understand that the main reason for using Ibeem is to reduce ongoing costs by publishing content quickly. The only ongoing cost is for hosting and support.

How fast is Ibeem?
You are looking at an Ibeem site right now. The Acecomp site is built and managed using the Ibeem Centralized Enterprise Application Premium Edition and hosted on our managed network infrastructure. Acecomp Provides several hosting options (see hosting) including dedicated and co-location servers.

How stable is the Ibeem?
Because we use the same system in all of our projects, you can have the confidence that 6 years' constant deployment and testing implies. Furthermore, this means that if we find a problem on one site, we are able to fix it for all our clients' - giving you the benefit of thousands of users testing the same code. Many of our competitors write partially or completely new systems for each client, giving them far less confidence in the code that has been produced.

Will Ibeem work with Major Credit Card?
Yes, Ibeem can handle realtime transactions with all major credit cards and third party payment methods can also be used. Realtime transactions and online transactions may require a merchant

Does Ibeem CMS workflow work?
Yes, Ibeem CMS Premium Edition provides a fully functional workflow engine and permissions system that will allow an author to approve their own content (suitable for small sites) or require them to submit content for approval using the multi-level approval system. Ibeem has several levels of security including content permission, users level, user rights and groups. When submitting an article for approval the author can select multiple users or groups from a list of available users and groups within Ibeem. They can also add a message for the approver. When groups are picked the group leader or leaders receive a copy of the article and message via email for their review. After the content has been approved, the leader can access the system and active the content to be published. If an author without approval permissions subsequently edits the article the approval will be removed and the article has to be resubmitted for approval!

Can Groups be created to aid the workflow and management process?
Yes, Ibeem CMS Premium Edition supports multiple groups that can gain access to different tools. A user may belong to any number of groups and inherit the rights assigned to the group or have individual access rights based on roles. For example an author can have access to publishing tools but access is restricted to other tools.

Does the Ibeem CMS interface provide WYSIWYG editing of content?
Yes, Ibeem provides a Rich Text Editor that includes tools similar to those found in many word processing applications like Microsoft Word, WordPerfect and Sun Office Suite. Our Content Manager System also supports linked files, image uploads, templates with editable/non-editable regions and Metatags.

Does Ibeem CMS support HTML code?
Yes, HTML coding is supported with our Rich Text Editor. HTML source code can be viewed and edited allowing you to add HTML Tags directly to your content.

Can content be moved from one part of the site structure to another?
Yes, Content can be moved to a different section or subsection within the site structure. Our Enhanced and Premium Editions can also move content to a different template layout on the fly letting you change the display of your content at anytime.

Does Ibeem CMS allow editors to create and edit links to other pages within their site and external URLs?
Yes, Links can be added using the rich text editor either by typing the URL or using copy-and-paste. Editors can highlight text and link the highlighted text using the link option.

Does Ibeem CMS allow the linking of files like PDFs, or other documents, to the site?
Yes, Ibeem allows an editor to highlight text in the Rich Editor and link files like Word Documents, PDFs or Other downloadable files.

Can I link images in Ibeem CMS?
Yes, The Ibeem allows image linking to other pages on your site or external links to other websites.

Can Ibeem handle content authoring in multiple languages?
Yes, Languages using the same character set, for example English, German, French etc. can be authored within a single site installation. Languages using different character sets such as Japanese should be authored using separate installations - one for each language. The latter approach is recommended as it allows you to customize presentation and layout for each site that is normally required to cater for cultural preferences.

Can Ibeem CMS control metatags?
Yes, Ibeem was developed to have full control of metatags used by search engines. Ibeem has default metatags that are set-up whenever new pages are added. Metatags can then be controlled on a page by page basis allowing you to control Titles, Description, Keywords, Keyphases or Classification on all content published.

Does Ibeem CMS provide authors a choice of site templates?
Yes, Ibeem Enhanced and Premium Editions will allow users the ability to pick a different site template to display your content.

Can additional templates to be added to the Ibeem System?
Yes, with Ibeem Enhanced and Premium Editions, any number of templates can be created and added to the site allowing you to change a page layout any time even after the content has been added.

Can I change and control the look of my site with Ibeem?
Yes, you have control over what the site looks like, within the system templates provided. This means that text, images and graphics can be changed without the need for a web or design specialist. However if you require a significant new look and re-designed navigation structure we recommend some assistance from technical support.

How does Ibeem transfer content from the author environment to the live environment?
Ibeem Enhanced and Premium Editions, allows content to be transferred from the author environment to the live environment when content has been approved.

Can I have multimedia on my site?
Ibeem can be used to present streaming video, flash, audio and more. However, these features are priced separately from our Ibeem package.

Can I use Ibeem Applications on my existing site?
Yes, Sometimes we need to make very small changes to your layout in order to make it function with Ibeem.

Can I use my existing web space?
Probably not. Ibeem offers a number of advanced features that are impossible to install on basic hosting solutions provided with most ISP accounts. There are two solutions to this problem. The easiest is to host your Ibeem site with Acecomp - this means you keep all the functionality of Ibeem, and the peace of mind that qualified experts are looking after it. Alternatively, if you have a machine and connection suitable for hosting your website, we will help you install Ibeem there. Finally, Ibeem can publish pages to basic webspace, but without the benefit of some features included with Ibeem.

Can I have members-only pages?
Yes, Ibeem fully supports different types of members giving them access to different sections of the site.

How does Ibeem handle authentication?
Ibeem has several authentication methods available including user right, groups, user levels, access codes, user lockouts, IP restrictions, IP Locks and Page Locks.

Is Ibeem a Web server itself?
No, Ibeem is not a web server, although it does use web servers, application servers and database server to render its own interface.

Where do I purchase Ibeem?

Will Ibeem help me build my own website?
Ibeem is not intended to be a site-building tool in the sense that Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and other applications are. Rather, we help you to organize and maintain your site structure, allowing independent access to certain parts of the site to update the information contained, while maintaining control over the layout and general structure. It is a tool that can integrate at the time of site creation. Once that is done, you will be able to update your site whenever you want, by yourself, using Web Site Content Management!

I'm a web designer. What does Ibeem offer me?
Ibeem is a great application for designers and webmasters who want to use their time more efficiently. A site that has Web Site Content Management integrated into it can be easily updated and modified, either by the designer, or by anyone else that you set up access for. Instead of having to recreate entire pages, and possibly change layouts on a number of pages, you can modify the content section of the pages in question. Demanding clients with daily changes can be given access to modify page content themselves, without the danger of having problems introduced into the code or layout, and without giving them access to your server.

How is Ibeem different from web design updates?
The difference is in the amount of time, skill and work required. A web design update could involve changes to layout, navigation, and a number of other things. Content management updates the content of the website. In most cases, once a site design has been settled, it will stay in place for several months at least. Site content, however, could and should change much more often. It's a convenience for both the designer and the site owner.

Can I manage Advertising banners?
Yes, Ibeem has a great advertising manager that will allow you to add banners to your site. Banners can be set-up to start and expire based on the period set-up. Banners ads can be rotated or simply displayed based on different criteria’s.

Does Ibeem allow me to manage site feedback?
Yes, Ibeem has been set-up to allow site users to send feedback. All site feedback is then recorded in Ibeem and e-mailed to one or more addresses; Ibeem also has auto replies that can be changed at any time. Feedback can be replied to right from the Ibeem system allowing you to keep a record of all feedback and replies.

Can I export my data with Ibeem?
Yes, Ibeem can include data export features that will allow you to export all data in the system to a comma delimited format, which can be viewed in spreadsheet program or imported into other application.

Does Ibeem support datasheet?
Yes, Ibeem can include datasheet to view, print and sort data in a raw data format that is very useful.

Can Ibeem track visitors to my site?
Yes, Ibeem has a graphical traffic analyzer that will keep track of pages visited, Language, I.P., Browsers, Date and Search engine traffic stats.

Will I know when content was last update?
Yes, Ibeem keeps a record of when content or other items are updated and includes the user that made the update, date, time and IP address. Ibeem also includes an ibeem analyzer that will record all uses actions in the Ibeem system.

Can I add new products?
Yes, Ibeem gives you control over your products allowing you to introduce new items or update existing products. Products can be marked as a New Item, Limited edition, Feature Item or as a clearance or sales item.

Can I send e-mail messages with Ibeem?
Yes, Ibeem has a built in module called Quickmail that will let you send e-mail or reply to site feedback. Quickmail will keep a list of all e-mails sent via the system allowing you to keep your website related e-mail separate from your other business or personal messages.

Can I add Pop-up Windows?
Yes, Ibeem Supports the use of pop-up windows to inform visitors of new products, services or other important information. The pop-up window manager allows you to turn the pop-up window on and off when required. You can also control the window size, Titles, Images and with a rich text editor control fonts, sizes, formatting, colours, links and more.

Can I add additional SSL security?
Yes, Ibeem can be set-up with an SSL certificate to provide added security by working with SSL to encrypt data communication between your computers web browser and your domain.

Will I be able to restrict access by I.P.?
Yes, Ibeem includes many security features including I.P. Lock and I.P. Permission. I.P. Permissions works by restricting ibeem access based on the computers I.P. number or use I.P. Lock to Lock out an I.P. address.

Can I have shipment tracking for my customers?
Yes, Ibeem has the ability to track and trace shipments and allows customers to logon to your site and see all shipment information.
